श्वेत वर्ण सुन्दर धारी, माँ श्वेत कमल पर विराजे ॥
हंस वाहन राजत प्यारी, वीणा पुस्तक साजे ॥

Adorned in beautiful white attire, Mother sits on a white lotus,
Beloved riding on a swan, adorned with veena and books.

चार भुजा धारण करती, माँ ज्ञान कला गुण खानी ॥
विद्या दान करो जगजननी, हो विमल बुद्धि की दानी ॥
जय सरस्वती माता…

Bearing four arms, Mother is the source of knowledge, art and virtues,
Grant us wisdom, O Mother of the Universe, be the bestower of pure intellect.

मंद मंद मुस्कान तुम्हारी, मन को हरने वाली ॥
सुर नर मुनि मन मोहत, त्रिभुवन की महिपाली ॥
जय सरस्वती माता…

Your gentle smile captivates the mind,
Enchanting gods, humans and sages, you are the ruler of the three worlds.

पाप हरो अज्ञान मिटाओ, संकट मोह नशाओ ॥
हम सब की रक्षा करके, मन वांछित फल पाओ ॥
जय सरस्वती माता…

Remove sins and ignorance, destroy troubles and delusion,
Protect us all and grant us our desired fruits.

विद्या ज्ञान प्रकाश करो माँ, अंधकार मिटाओ ॥
बुद्धि विवेक प्रदान करो माँ, सन्मार्ग दिखलाओ ॥

Illuminate knowledge and wisdom, O Mother, remove darkness,
Grant us intelligence and discretion, show us the righteous path.

तुम बिन और न कोई माता, जग में दुख हरने वाली ॥
विद्या बुद्धि प्रदान करो माँ, बनो कृपा की डाली ॥

Your beauty adorned with pen and inkpot, books illuminating knowledge,
The sweet melody of veena plays, destroying all darkness of delusion.

जो तेरी शरण में आवे, उसको तू अपनावे ॥
मन वांछित फल पावे माता, घर आनन्द बढ़ावे ॥

Whoever comes to your refuge, you embrace them,
They attain their heart’s desires, O Mother, and increase joy in their home.

ब्रह्मा विष्णु महेश्वर वंदित, वेद पुराण बखाने ॥
नारद शारद तुमको ध्यावें, विद्या रूप बखाने ॥
